With the FM-800, MAFELL has developed another milling motor "Made in Germany".

The speed can be continuously adjusted to suit any application.
In addition, the digital electronics are equipped with soft start, constant speed under load, idle speed reduction and overload protection. The labyrinth seal of the FM-800 permanently protects the spindle and bearings from the smallest particles, dust and chips.
The MAFELL milling motors are manufactured under the strictest quality controls in Oberndorf a. N. Before delivery, each milling motor is "run in" under laboratory conditions. This increases the service life and lifespan.
The FM-800 impresses with its maximum concentricity of < 0.05 mm at a distance of 25 mm (in the cone < 0.01 mm). The delicate coordination of all components and the fact that the armature and spindle are made and balanced from one piece are responsible for this extraordinary precision.
A special labyrinth seal permanently protects the spindle and bearings from the smallest particles, dust and chips.

The engineers at Mafell have done a great job. By optimizing the air flow in the milling motor, they were able to reduce noise emissions from 76dB to 71dB.
Until now, the unpleasant noise level of milling motors in this class was one of the main arguments for switching to a much more expensive high-frequency spindle.
